Fundraiser Planned to Help Vicki Fitzgerald
Oak Cliff and Vicki Fitzgerald are nearly synonymous. For years she has spearheaded volunteer efforts throughout our community. Now, sadly, Vicki is battling a deadly cancer, and the medical bills far exceed her means.

Since Vicki has donated so much of her time to improving Oak Cliff and has touched so many people with her kindness and generosity, several groups wanted give back and show her their support and have organized a fundraising benefit to help her in her greatest time of need.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at The Kessler Theater located at 1230 West Davis Street. Click here for more details.

Open Letter to Residents of Kessler Plaza
At June 22, 2010 KPNA meeting, representatives from the Oak Cliff Progress Coalition (OCPC) distributed an Open Letter to Kessler Plaza residents regarding rezoning impacts from the Davis-Bishop Land Use Study. This study will change the zoning on the Jefferson-Davis shopping center and surrounding business area. The group reached out to Kessler Plaza as they feel the changes will impact Kessler Plaza even though the City of Dallas' rezoning notification requirements did not compel the city to include our neighborhood in the notification process.

Click here to read the letter and learn more about the rezoning.
