National Night Out 2002

Kessler Plaza joined neighborhoods across the country to celebrate the 19th annual National Night Out, a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) on Tuesday, August 6, 2002. Ravinia Heights joined Kessler Plaza for the festivities including grilled hot dogs and ice cream sandwiches.  In addition, several units of the police department were on hand including the mounted patrol, K-9, helicopter, Constable office, and McGruff.  The fire department also brought a fire truck.
